A Note From the President -

With more than 22 meetings behind us, your negotiation team and the Hickman County Board of Education have reached an agreed upon contract for the years 2008-09, 2009-10, and 2010-11. It has taken work on both sides to come to agreements that are in the best interests of all parties concerned. The ultimate goal is to make this a win/win situation for everyone. I want to take this opportunity to thank Hope Dotson, Ella Lassan, Suzette Boehms, and our alternate Edwinter Myles for all their dedication and hard work on behalf of the members of Hickman County Education Association. Without their support and commitment we would not have gotten the job done. We also thank those who supported us by attending these public meetings.

On September 25, the Hickman County teachers voted to approve the proposed contract. The contract will be submitted to the school board for approval at the October meeting.
